My favourite music video of all time is Benny Blanco's Eastside, which features Halsey and Khalid. How a loving bond between two lovers grows is "Eastside's" main theme. The lyrics of the song describe a couple remembering their earlier romance while lamenting how forbidding their union was. I adore this music video because it is so intensely individualised. The vocalists share their backstory, which demonstrates how much they have matured and how far they have come in their lives. Benny can be seen talking to us about his youth and how he liked a girl that he dated briefly before breaking up with in the song video. At the conclusion of the video, it is revealed that the girl has since found love and is living with him or her. In a similar fashion, Halsey's early years are depicted. She had a crush on a girl, but she left her not long after. This demonstrates how life is never a fairytale; people come and go, people you know and loved go, and you are compelled to move on. For this reason, I adore this music video because it captures the truth of life.
